Powdered Sugar vs. Chocolate Covered

By Neil, January 11, 2010 9:24 PM

Noah and I like both kinds of Donut Gems: powdered sugar and chocolate covered. While I prefer the powdered sugar ones, he prefers the chocolate covered ones. Although, when asked which ones he likes better, he’ll say, “I like both.” I guess sugar is sugar; it’s all the same anyway.

Whenever we need to get groceries, we usually go to a large superstore to get them. Each visit requires a short visit to the toy department as Noah always enjoys looking at the latest toys that are available, especially those that have been released for the movie “Cars.”

Time is Love

As Noah is getting older, the one thing that he seems to appreciate more than anything is that I spend time with him. If I am working on something, he usually wants to be involved. If he is playing, he will usually ask me to join him. More often than not, I will allow him to help me or join in with his play time.

It seems that I’ve talked a lot about my son this week. I do not do this for any reason other than it is simply what is on my mind. There are few things that bring me this much joy these days.

Expecting Snow

By Neil, January 6, 2010 11:08 PM

This evening went by very quickly. Noah and I visited his sister, Melanie, to help her with a computer problem. We were happy to have time to visit. After our visit, it was time for a quick bath and then off to drop Noah off at his mommy’s house.

The weather forecasts around here are saying that we should expect three to four inches of snow. Nothing accumulated today, but it may do so overnight. It could be a very interesting drive in the morning. Although I’ve heard that many people are excited about the snow, I stopped liking it the day I started driving through it.

No Music for the Day

Noah Writes His Name

Noah and I were going to visit the Truebloods this evening. I was going to have a writing session with Chris, and Noah would have a play date with the girls. However, those plans didn’t happen. Unfortunately, that happens sometimes. So, instead, Noah and I had a cheap dinner and played at an indoor playground for a little while.

When we got home, we listened to Kidz Bop and worked on a puzzle that he got for Christmas. After that, he wanted to draw so he worked on writing his name. Before bed, we read a few books and watched a couple cartoons. I love days like these!
