Taking time to relax sounds like a good idea after the night that Neesie and I had yesterday. Neesie is working on a jigsaw puzzle and listening to Faith Hill. I plan to figure out what is wrong with the CD writer that I have on my desktop system. If I can’t get it working, the tape archiving is going to take a lot longer.
I have some more interesting ideas for the Slow Moving Humans artwork. I’ve not heard from them in almost a month. It may be time to send out an email to see if they are still in need of artwork.
Now, Denise and I are going to find our dinner.
My first week of this new year was spent fighting off a Devil Bug that decided to take residence in my stomach. It managed to keep me home from work 3 1/2 days while it forced out whatever I tried to feed it. Not a pleasant tenant, I assure you. It seems that I was successful at eviction. Unfortunately, it seems to have found a new home in Neesie.
C. Sleve the Mischievous had his first doctors visit. Neesie reports that he did well during his shot. He seemed to have when we returned to the car. The Beetle has never gotten such a thorough going-over. He looked at me several times as if to say, “This cage is much bigger than the one I have, and it even has wheels!”
Work on the archiving of Project One rehearsal tapes is halfway finished. I hope to have CD-R copies freshly fried and in the hands of my co-writers by the end January. One would think that I would learn that this sort of task is not an overnight job. Especially since it took Corey and me two years to compile and finish CINEMAtography. However, I’m not taking as much care in the archiving. These discs are not intended for general release. They will be used for writing purposes only. With that said, I do reserve the right to change my opinion about the various improvs that were done. MP3 would be a good medium for those.
Other than archiving my past, I’ve been working on album artwork for a local band called Slow Moving Humans. They have been very patient with me with this. As soon as I can get a couple good photos taken, I should have a finished package for them.
